Hi Simon, Nice to meet you. Thanks for all the info.
This is my first time posting. I’m really interested in rabbit working with AppFolio property management Platform.
I’m not sure where I can make this suggestion.
Really need to focus on better use cases and dig Rabbit out of the hole… Make applications that allow scheduling, timers, alarms, practical business use cases for the device. Aim more at practical uses not just making it into a kids toy. Generating horrible ai music was a wrong move. I tried it is horrible and cannot follow instructions and generates noise no one in my family can put up with.
You all can do better and I am here to help. I believe in trh product and think you all can turn it around.
Thank you,

Hello @simon ,
I think it would be a great idea if you could do something for one of the next updates so that r1 always checks the internet connection before sending a request, because I have noticed that sometimes it happens that the first request I make after not using r1 for some time is either completely lost or there is no response from Rabbit, so it looks like the request has been lost.
Maybe it would also be good if r1 would say something in case something is wrong or it takes longer than usual…
But maybe it would also be good if r1 always preferred a known WiFi connection before using 4G (LTE).
I agree this comment. For instance it will take a photo and then not upload it, when it re-connect to internet.
Hi Simon - I am desperate and frustrated trying to set up my r1. the current challenge is that it won’t do the OTA update that’s required because it wants it to be both charging and on wifi. Well, I had to buy cellular plan because I don’t have reliable wifi and so I can’t fulfill BOTH criteria in order to get the OTA updates and then FINALLY be able to use the r1. Am I supposed to go to a Starbucks or someplace with free wifi? Why won’t it accept that using my cellular connection is fine with me? (I have a 50 gig/month plan and just started it today.)
Can you help with a work around. I am ready to throw this thing away.
That’s definitely frustrating, my apologies!
Do you have a reliable cellular signal on your phone? If so, you could enable hotspot on your phone and connect to the hotspot as wifi. A few people have mentioned this as a reliable workaround for this issue.
E mail is a headache text is much better
Try using your phone as hotspot, as a workaround
Would be great is we can pick up on work that has been put in the Journal, in the rabbithole.
Rabbit doesn’t always seem to want to continue on something from a few days ago even though it can find it in the journal.
Before you really throw it away, maybe you should just give it to someone who can use it. There is already far too much garbage in the world, don’t you think? I think @simon should answer the question himself, but the way I see it, problems like this will probably be a thing of the past with one of the next updates. If there’s one thing we all need, it’s probably patience. Everything that needs to be good takes time. That is not meant in a bad way.
Hi Simon - the original issue was that it would not Connect with my T-Mobile hotspot on phone. That’s why I bought a nano SIM card. And then got wifi to work.
Instead of asking us to make workarounds, WHY couldn’t it do OTA using my dedicates data plan instead of insisting that I get a wifi signal? It’s my business if I want to use cellular data for the OTA. IN other words, you can see the conditions as “charging” and “connected”
Hello, but the update for the languages, even the European ones since they have shipped to Europe too, when will it happen?
So far, the languages request has been a popular one, and I hope that it, along with the timers/alarm/reminders are the core things that I think are pressing.
Fully agree on focusing for these basic features
Awesome stuff!
is there a way to skip/pause updates for later
Good stuff
Beta rabbit is great. Wish there was a default toggle.
Significant update which was needed to put it at similar levels that the competition Nice job teams!
I really love this update. I noticed that even though it cannot produce graphs yet(whether as part of a simulation or a finding a strong example of a specific hope one day it can) it doesn’t just end the conversation. It actually searched for some examples of what the different laws(ie bayesian and gaussian laws) would look (in a more generic form) … i hope it can really run those simulations and display the data with charts and graphs the first time
