teach mode alpha update

hi @everyone

we are thrilled to share that our alpha program for teach mode has begun!

over the last few weeks, we hand-picked a group of our most passionate, engaged and talented community members, and they now have access to a closed alpha for teach mode, making them the first people outside of the company to try it out.

although the program has only just started, they have collectively already taught dozens of lessons, and their feedback and experiences are being used to tighten up the experience, fix bugs, and polish teach mode ahead of a wider release later this year.

please note that since this is a closed alpha program, the testing group will not be sharing details of their experience publicly.

stay tuned, as we’ll be sharing more information throughout the course of the alpha program!

Really good news. Thank you for this update @simon .
I have the same question as @alex.hent . Is there an approximate schedule for each phase?

I am really excited about an implementation of the ‘teach-mode’.

or is there any way you can get involve in this alpha ?

At the moment you can only wait for Rabbit to invite you. Surely the best way is not to ask to get involved, as @simon said in the blog post.

The Alpha group is closed I’m afraid. We are hoping to have a much wider beta after it ends.

I really like my r1, and I’ve defended it thoughtfully from misinformation and disinformation on Reddit, and in the Discord group there at the very beginning. But can we get ahead of the discussion for teach Mode?

Whether in the alpha program or the beta program, there need to be some non-truebelievers providing feedback. They ought to bring you a long list of stuff that “doesn’t work” and some of that stuff will be really stuff that doesn’t work. Some of that stuff will be “will told you that doesn’t work” stuff. Some of that will be “why would you try to do that” stuff.

They will probably feel like a pain in the tochus, but you should consider each thing on their list. What can you fix? What can you block? What can you inform about? Every single item.

Because this will be so much better that having to go through this process on Reddit. Because when it’s released it’s too late.

I’m really looking forward to the teach capability. I am curious to know if it will eventually be able to help me with an app I use daily for my scheduling. The app is called HouseCall Pro and being able to teach the r1 to modify and adjust my work schedule would be phenomenal. I’m still learning about my r1 and have been thrilled with what I find. Can’t wait to see where things stand in the near future.

really looking forward to this… Is it Oct 1?

my hope is there is almost an agent marketplace for agents other people have trained well and can share. That way people more capable, and creative, than me can really make the rabbit shine

I am wondering how could they manage the integration with Playwright CodeGen, since is well known that Rabbit is using such platform… and my main question is: if codegen requires a line of code from the npx cli, how do they manage to inject the bash script with the url of the website to automate directly in the connections page of the Rabbit Hole?
And how do they manage to save the automated playwright script upon terminating the session? Are we presented with the playwright recording screen?
I can’t wait to receive answers for all these questions…

Yes I really agree getting people to create for the R1 and sharing their creations is very important.

I think it would be great to keep it very simple and accessible (like creating custom GPTs is)

I made some posts before on how I see users creating some form of skills they can share.

Cool new!

My R1 has been inactive as its here in Europe is quite limited.

I really hope that the closed Alpha has a wider focus than the US

Really good idea, @RingoSG83 .

In a further topic I mentioned also the idea to create a extra website or section for mods and user creations.

I believe that this will engage and improve our rabbits and the community much more compared to other technical devices.:slightly_smiling_face:

I just hope that there is a need for.more testers and we can also get access to tech mode. There are so many things I need to teach my small orange friend.
