Had a delightful use of the translation function in the real world today. I arrived at a real estate photo shoot to find a worker still prepping the house who spoke no English. He was trying to hand me his phone so I could call his boss, who spoke English. I had the r1 in my pocket, so I whipped it out and… way faster than I could have either called his boss or paged around to find a clunky app to try and translate on my phone… I just told him what I needed him to know.
He just listened, smiled, gave me a thumbs up, and said, “okay!”
