Rabbit informed me that it uses GPS to determine my current location and every time i ask about my location, the answer provided is way way out of my location… please advise what can i do or please fix this issue. Thanks!
“The GPS technology used in devices like the Rabbit R1 typically relies on satellite signals rather than being solely dependent on a SIM card. The SIM card may assist in location services through cell tower triangulation, but the primary GPS functionality is independent of it.”
This was the r1 answering to my question about how he figures our location!
oic…thanks alex.hent for sharing. I’m using a sim card for the R1 too but still … let’s hope it can be improved soon. Reason being it’s important for R1 to know the location accurately in order to help us search for nearby services, shops…and to order etc.
Hey everyone!
I’m currently using my phone’s WiFi hotspot, and it’s showing coordinates from Madrid, which is about 550 km (or roughly 340 miles) away from where I live.
I’m going to try running this query again once I’ve got my SIM card for the r1 that’s on its way.
I tried this prompt and is around 200m far away, two parallel streets forward
I also tried to get Rabbit r1 to help me navigate to the nearest kfc. In fact, the nearest kfc was only 2 kilometers away from me. As a result, the navigation let me go to kcf, which is more than 2000 kilometers away.
Had a different experience when i asked for a close Gas station, but just before i had to feed him exactly the address. But what it give me is correct.
With SIM card, it’s pretty neat, 100m (0.06 miles) from where I am…
