Hi @321654 ,

you have mentioned a good point.
I support this too.:slightly_smiling_face:

In the following idea collection I have also mentioned the point ā€˜messengerā€™:

> Individualization and prioritized features (languages, editor, teach-mode and user creations)

Maybe you can support this with your vote.

To be honest, I think that we are currently at level 1 in r1 development, email may be adopted at level 3, but we cannot confirm this rumor.

Pretty sure theyā€™ve said before that once we get to the point where thereā€™s google integration email/calendar is on the table, but thatā€™s waaaay down the road.

Not sure how I feel about texting though, feel like some suggestions get closer to a phone, which is not what itā€™s trying to be. Communication between r1 devices I think has been brought up, but thatā€™s about it I think :man_shrugging:

Iā€™m also in favor of some kind of a send and receive, so that we can contact the outside world with the r1. There are a couple of considerations, thoughā€¦

If it had to listen for incoming messages, that would probably completely nerf the already just-good-enough battery life. So we probably need to be ready to accept that weā€™ll need to ask it to check for new messages.

Thereā€™s also the security considerations ā€” I donā€™t think Iā€™m ready to give rabbit the keys to my Google account. Probably not my primary email either, lest I get blacklisted for emails coming from too many IP addresses.

However, I would be willing to have a new address just for limited outside communications ā€” whether that be sending a copy of a r1 answer to someone, a link to a magic camera image, or a straight email communication.

Iā€™ve been able to have it email me twice so far. The first time was an accident. The Second time took a lot of effort, yet Iā€™m unsure on how to make it work 100% of the time.

Both times it emailed me a spread sheet from the address: rabbit@r1.rabbit.tech

thoughts anyone?

The LAM Playground has essentially enabled communication via email with the outside world. I created a webmail account just for my r1 and with that I can communicate with the outside world.

Hi @drewjustdrew ,

cool way. :+1:
Do you have some example LAM playground prompts for e-mails?

I spoke this prompt into my r1. Do note that I had already logged into the account via the rabbithole and it was a new account I set up specifically for this purpose.

Edit: It didnā€™t work when I tried my prompt again. I added the ā€œin a browserā€ to the beginning and now it almost works, but canā€™t paste the body text. But it works with just a subject

In a browser, use my simply.com webmail to send an email to xxxxxxx@xxxxxx.com with the subject will be late. And a body that says, Iā€™ll be late to the party.

That whatā€™s strange it gets it right only sometimes, when I try to say the email address it has trouble with the @ sign. Iā€™ll ask it to send email to xxxx@xxx.com and it fails on the email most of the time, itā€™s like it canā€™t hear, I try talking slower, not as load, nothing seem to workā€¦
