Just checking to see if its only me, but I’ve gone from my battery draining in standby from 1% per hour or less to a bit over 2% per hour. For example I lost 17% in standby last night from 10pm until 5:30 this morning.
I haven’t had mine long enough, but would agree that it seems that the batt is draining quite fast (certainly faster than my mobile and/or tablet).
That is pretty normal with mine.
While I’m at work my r1 isn’t connected to the internet, so it just sits idle. I charged it up to 100% this morning and left at 8:20am and haven’t charged it since, it’s 3:41pm and it’s at 95%. I need to test how much it goes down when I’m at home and it’s connected to wifi.
I was getting 1% or less drain until just recently now its doubled. Think i will turn of cellular and see what I get on wifi only.
Let me know if you see a difference with that!
Also Bluetooth, if you’re not using it, turn it off. The fewer radios you have running the less battery drain. But honestly the 2% per hour seems what most people have been reporting.
I have had both cellular with roaming and Wi-Fi turned on at the same time and was getting around 1% drain consistently, but it recently increased to a little over 2% with no changes on my part, I rarely use my earbuds so Bluetooth stays off. Last night i turned off cellular and fully charged the r1 and this morning after 8.5 hours I only lost 6% so a bit under 1% drain per hour.
So apparently having both cellular and Wi-Fi on drain my device at 2% per hour. Not sure what changed, but this started happening after the roaming feature was added, but might just be coincidental or maybe my coverage in my area changed, who knows but Its not an big deal for me as 2% drain still leaves me a full 2 days of moderate usage. I was just making sure nothing was wrong with my battery.
Good information
Battery drain is drastic in my opinion: not using it at all for 2 days and the battery is drained almost completely. I still have to check WHILE using it, almost scared to do so… Hope improvement is possible in this area, because I don’t thing lugging around a charger bigger than the device it’s charging makes any sense !
First, I agree that the battery drains quickly on standby. It shouldn’t as there is no apparent data like notifications coming in like with a mobile phone.
Secondly, I’ve noticed that even when the r1 is powered off, battery is still draining. Today I shut the r1 down with 93 %. When turned on like 3 hours later, it was on 89 %. This should not be. Can rabbit support explain?
that seems odd.
i am used to this from my “intelligent” drone batteries as they discharge automatically after a few days, but wouldn’t expect it from the R1
Hi. Apologies if I’m asking a poor question. I’m really unhappy about how quickly the battery drains. Is there anything I can do to help elevate this issue?
