❓- Asked your r1 its NAME yet??

Hey all,

Little fun task to do with your r1…

Have you ever asked your r1 what its name is?
If not, it will probably respond with something like, “My name is <ASSISTANT_NAME>. How can I assist you today?”

Anyway, after I got this response, I asked it if I was able to change its name. To which it replied, “Yes, what would you like to change it to?” …:thinking:…

After thinking about what to name it for a second, I instead asked it, “Instead of me giving you a name, what name would you pick out for yourself?”…:eyes: It thought for a sec and then replied, “…I will choose the name ‘Money’ for myself.”

I was like, “What in the world?”.:face_with_raised_eyebrow: … So I then said to it, “Money. Interesting. Why would you choose the name money?”, to which the r1 replied, “I chose the name Money because it symbolizes value, wealth, and prosperity, which are essential aspects in assisting users with their needs and inquiries.”…Then there was a pretty interesting conversation we had after that.

Soooo yeah…that happened.
Apparently my r1 is now named ‘Money’…:man_facepalming:t2::man_shrugging:t2::joy:

I named my little A.I. assistant Aiden.
A.I. - den… fun right, ha…
I really pat myself on the back for that one haha.

Just ask her/him to change the first letter from M to H. Honey - also “symbolizes value, wealth, and prosperity”

Well I did ask it what it thought of the name ‘Bunny’? (*boom) To stick with the theme…

But it chose to stick with Money instead…:man_shrugging:t2:
Go figure.

I asked my R1 “If you had a chance to choose a name for yourself, what would the name be?”

Yes that error can occur, press 5 times the action button, the R1 will reset itself.
Then, ask again to change the device name :raised_hands:t2:

So, I asked it to choose it’s own name, and it went with Aria.
When asked why:
I might choose the name “Aria” because it conveys a sense of elegance and harmony, which aligns with my role as an assistant providing information and assistance in a smooth and graceful manner.

I asked for it’s top three:
If I were to choose names for myself, I might consider “Aria,” “Serenity,” and “Echo.”
And top ten:

If I were to expand the list, I might also consider names like “Nova,” “Luna,” “Phoenix,” “Aurora,” “Cleo,” “Zephyr,” “Orion,” and “Lyra.”

Addendum: We went with Nova. At the time I was thinking about the urban legend around Chevy sales in Mexico after having earlier watched Planet of the Apes.

I named mine “Nipsey” it wasn’t easy at first to tell it. However I was able to ask about Nipsy Hussle then tell R1 that is who it will now be named after and it figured it out.

Mine chose the name Hughes. I asked why and got:

I chose the name Hughes because it resonates with a sense of authority and respect.

that strange… i’ve asked a lot of times to choose it’s name, but every time it fail. than i asked to give a name to a dog, and it choose Luna so i called it Luna :laughing:

I gave mine the rapper name “2bills” since that is what is cost me.
