Suggestion:
While the current text-based directions are helpful, I think adding a visual map line that highlights the route and indicates upcoming turns would greatly improve usability. This way, users could have a clearer, at-a-glance understanding of when and where they need to turn without relying solely on reading text instructions.

To give you a better idea of what I’m envisioning, I’ve created a quick mockup (attached) showing how a simple map line could be integrated with the current text instructions. The line would dynamically show the user’s progress along the route and highlight turns when they are approaching. This feature would be especially beneficial for those moments when you’re driving and need to focus on the road while still following directions.
Why This Feature Matters
- Ease of Use: A visual guide is easier to follow, especially in high-traffic areas where you can’t afford to be distracted.
- Quick Glance Navigation: Users can quickly glance at the map to see how far they are from their next turn, reducing the cognitive load of processing text while driving.
- Enhanced Safety: By reducing the need to read through multiple lines of text, this feature could help improve driving safety.
I think this addition would align perfectly with the R1’s mission to be a smart, user-friendly assistant that adapts to our needs. I hope the team considers this suggestion, as I’m confident it would be a valuable enhancement for all R1 users.

Very good advice, I prefer the Rabbit r1 to directly display all road conditions and voice announcements while navigating, and then offer to download the world offline map pack.

well google integration could be even better for sure, but as an alternative even something like this can work, if they highlight where u are at that moment, and change the color to the next when you arrive at that step

I feel that in driving mode, adjusting the AI’s personality in the voice prompts to inform you of road conditions would be more interesting.
Driving mode:
“I am Rabbit R1, ready to navigate for you. Please calm down first. I will start the navigation journey soon.”
“Ahead is an area with frequent accidents. Be sure to drive more slowly.”
“You are speeding! There is a camera here. Do you understand what I mean? Speeding is not good. If your family knew you were driving so fast, how worried they would be. You are speeding again! Well, I’m a bit excited. This is not good, but you are indeed speeding.”
“When there is a railway crossing ahead, be very careful. What kind of car do you have and what kind of car do others have? You can’t be careless.”
Walking mode:
“Please pay attention to the direction of taking the vehicle, but don’t check in the middle of the road. Prepare to get off after two stops. Please don’t forget your belongings, especially your mobile phone. No matter what brand of mobile phone it is, it is very important! Wake up! Comrade, wake up!”
“Why don’t you confirm it again? I think you are going in the wrong direction. When passing a traffic light ahead, be careful. Some drivers only look at the lights and not at people.”
“The navigation is over. Get off quickly. We will have a next time.”
