using r1 for journaling

i want to start using r1 for writing journal / diary entries.

i think the most useful way to do that is by simply creating a new note and then editing it on my phone in the rabbit hole.

im wondering if anyone has other ideas to do this or is using r1 for writing a diary.

Hi @ramses ,

you have mentioned a good use case and interesting question.

For you I have tested the following prompts:

“Create a note called diary.”

“Add to my Note diary the sentence: XYZ”

You can repeat the last prompt how often you want.

Example:

In the rabbit-hole you get the following entries:

In the last document you get the final result:

Maybe this can help and support you. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the info, but when I created a note called “diary”, it saved it with some info about a diary, but when I wanted to add to the note, I said what you suggested “Add to my note diary the sentence:” Just said the word test and it created a new note, the wording has to be so on spot with r1 before if does something in Note. I could add something to my Medications List, but not this diary note. Any ideas? I noticed you might have done this in Terminal Mode.

In my first test I used tbe terminal mode, you are right.

Do you get the same result by using ‘beta rabbit’ ?

I find it to be quite sporadic at the moment, as if there were several rabbit servers that handle the requests differently.

I LOVE this idea. I currently try to journal daily and so will try with the rabbit.

So…I am an advocate of this device. I have spent the two months I have had with it to understand it. The more precise the language, the better. I have precise language day to day - this helps. I do note that THE notes are sometimes lost to the Rabbit, I know its there but it can not find it, especially if it is a week or two old, or older. The Rabbit finds it easier to find it if you mention specific things in the note, or indeed the date it was noted. However, I feel it could be improved to find those notes. It is a function I would love to trust, as yet I do not entirely. I am sure it will come but I still use it as I am determined and realise what the device needs from you to be effective.

@wookiemaster something I’d love is to be able to also edit the note title on the journal. it is so limiting that I have to think so much ahead and make sure the note is perfectly named before actually using it. i wish for a bit more flexibility here.
