just add it to your list there and it should be good
Instead of reminders it would be great to have timed prompts. Most LLM models are strictly request-response, the model does not take initiative to start an interaction.
What if you could, eg in the rabbit hole, define a prompt and the date/time it should be set off.
For example: for 7AM on weekdays: “start a conversation with a joyful moring greeting, tell me the weather forecast for today and give a summary of any major events that happened since 11PM yesterday”.
Simple reminders would also work by defining a prompt on how you want to be reminded.
Of course, using prompts triggering LAM, timed prompts would enable time triggered automations.
sounds like that “famous” line from the promo videos
User: “Start my morning routine!”
Which could be cool indeed. i can definitely see a scenario:
User: Morning Rabbit
R1: Morning User. Rise and Shine, today the weather will be warm with no chances to rain, i found 2 calendar appointments: you have aa call with the agency at 14:00 and at 18:30 you ll have to meet Aaron @ Xcafe.
All very nice, but I think they should add a little more, because Alexa can already do that today. So do you really need something like that in your r1? I think when it comes to r1 you should concentrate on the LAM, because that is one of the real strengths of r1. But all of this won’t help much if the device becomes more and more unusable.
It seems I can’t edit timers?!?
Also not in Timezones as an option:
I hoped the function would work - “please set an alarm for 8pm EST” and have it set in my time but that didn’t work. That would be helpful if we could or go back and edit the time? as I can’t seem to select the time, just turn it on or off too to adjust it.
BUG? - @rabbit
I also had my WiFi die (line was cut), I left my settings on WiFi and Cell… however my 10 Min alarm for my Veggie (Cauliflower) Pizza didn’t go off till I hit the wake button Only saved it 4 min after since went off as I still was paying attention.
Please read! Thank you!
I really need multiple timer functionality and the ability to name a timer and name an alarm. I am trying to make dinner tonight and also do laundry and I accidentally told r1 to set a timer for my clothes in the dryer instead of saying set an alarm and it canceled out the timer I needed for the food I have in the oven. Also there’s no rabbithole entries for when u set timers or alarms so I have no idea what time I set the oven timer which is now gone.
Another suggestion is local storage soon please to make recordings reliable.
Thank you.
Why if the screen goes off the Timer is useless… I haven’t seen the alarm wake the screen. I just forget its counting down, then click my Rabbit button and it just goes off when it catches up. Can we have it wake the screen?
It does work when asking questions, I guess stop ignoring the r1 and have it in use the timer will go off! #StopR1Neglect
I think this is currently more of a fundamental problem, it seems as if there is no uniform substructure for the current application options that can manage the ongoing processes correctly.
It currently seems as if different things are being implemented that are able to fulfil their main task, at least in a single specific application scenario, but not in conjunction with the other options offered by the rest of the system and the other application options.
One example could be the timer function, as already described here, another example that I often use is Suno, where you can see the problem quite clearly.
The main functionality works, at least most of the time, without any problems (sometimes the song generation is interrupted in the middle, but most of the time it works, but that’s not the problem I’m talking about). What I mean is, if the screen then opens or you want to change the volume during Suno playback, then it’s no longer possible to return to Suno playback, for example, and if you then generate a new song, the application will open again, but it’s not the new Suno song that’s displayed in the application, but the old song.
What I’m trying to say is that there is currently clearly not enough management for running applications, and that will continue to cause problems as long as this problem exists.
It currently seems as if people are trying to eliminate requirements from an object-oriented world with solutions from a script-based world.
I am fairly confident I’ve had it wake the screen for me. I’ll do some testing, maybe this is something to report to @rabbit if it only effects some users
I need to as well…
as had an alarm and timer just work (quick 5 Min ones), but I’ve had several that I don’t hear a thing then check the R1 for it to go off, but not sure when the time frame is. I was testing the alarm the other day for the same. Do we get a harder sleep time when we haven’t touched it for longer?
That would make sense on AOSP, yes. I’ll try an hour timer and not touch r1 and report back
Ok, my hour long timer just went off. I didn’t touch it since it started, and it woke itself up. @nipahc
I hope the teaching mode can be used: QQ, wechat, Weibo, Tencent video, iQiyi, biliblil, Tiktok, Youku, wps office, Baidu network disk, cool dog music, NetEase cloud music, QQ music, 58 city, Ctrip, Amap, Taobao, Alipay, Baidu Post bar.
@RaineSilverlock Take those teach Mode suggestions to - Community suggestions for Teach Mode - all things rabbit - rabbit community // break free so they are all together.
Thank you for reminding me, it was originally posted in this post, but maybe I read it wrong.
Next level would be ability for a reminder/timer/alarm to trigger an action such as specific LAM or Teach Mode action.
Ie:
at 5 am play my wake up playlist
on Tuesday the 20th purchase some vitamins
In an hour generate a metal song about tacos on suno
2 seconds better than 1 if you click the button not so quickly to avoid going to voice prompt so fast
Rabbit should have a mode where the timer or alarm speaks what the timer or alarm is for. So for example, in this mode, my boiled egg timer will play the timer alarm sound once and then say “boiled egg is done”, then play the timer alarm sound again and repeat this over and over.
This mode is important for sight impaired usesrs as well as people with ADHD who have time blindness (their brains cannot sense the passing of time). Time blindness results in massive lost productivity and also missing appointments etc.
For people with time blindness, a device like the Rabbit can serve as a time keeper, and personal assistant that helps keep them being productive with reminders and alarms that speak to them.
To help you understand time blindness better, imagine sitting down for your dinner at 7pm but because you don’t sense the passing of time, you get engrossed in the combination of your meal & day dreaming and only at 10pm something happens that makes you realize you’ve been dragging out your dinner for 3 hours. For someone with ADHD it’s a huge problem, and this greatly affects their daily life.
So just imagine what a life changing device the Rabbit is so close to being for people with this condition. The Rabbit can have the features to be a great time keeper that will speak reminders and alarms on a daily basis to keep someone on track and on time with their daily life as well as the one off appointments etc.
Please like this post if you want this feature as much as I do.
