It would be a great improvement if the behavior of the volume control were standardized.
This means that in every use case there should be a uniform way to adjust the volume at any time without interrupting the currently running task (such as playing a Suno song).
There should also be a way to return to the last completed task at any time from the home screen.
This would greatly improve the user experience and that is by no means an unimportant point.
I agree with the idea of using the scrollwheel for volume (any time the rabbit outputs sound) and just using the touchscreen to scroll.
I don’t know how intuitive pressing the ppt once to mute would be. I’m rather tapping the rabbit head to mute because you should be able to unmute it again aswell (with a clear animation to show it is muted, you can toggle between sound and no sound)
But if the volume control gets instant maybe muting is not even that intuitive.
After the last update to reach the settings with 2x scroll up, the advantage now is that you no longer accidentally enter the menu with a shake during movement. The downside is that with the shaking function, I could previously adjust the volume while R1 was reading a response. That is no longer possible. You programmers: you’ve taken on a tough task with the ‘1-button operation.’ I’m sure there is a clever solution.
you are right with your experiences.
So far maybe two ways are possible to have success with volume control:
It will be allowed to (long)press the PTT-button and use the scrollwheel at the same time during responses of our rabbits r1. Here the PTT-button should not interrupt the answer/tasks.
The ‘shaking function’ should be activated only during responses of our rabbits r1 to control volume.
@BlueNexus9 Option 2 as in shake to bring up the settings and change the volume there? I think that would be a bit confusing…
Option 1 might be the way to go! (I wonder what the challenge is to make it work)
I thought of some other ways as well. Longpressing the rabbit for 2 seconds. And after that using the scroll wheel. Then you could also mute the rabbit by just tapping the rabbit.
