Rabbit hole navigation

Hi everyone!

Maybe it’s just me, maybe someone’s already mentioned it, but I find the rabbit hole navigation quite frustrating :eyes:

When you select a specific entry of a chosen month, then tap “back to journal”, it brings you all the way back to the overall list of months instead of that specific one which you’ve chosen. This makes the navigation quite repetitive and unnecessarily complicated.

e.g. I take a couple of pictures with the magic camera freestyle and want to look at them one by one. I can’t just select, go back, select, go back, etc. I have to go all the way back, and select the month again, etc. And the loading of pictures is a bit slow, which 100% adds to the frustration.

An extra suggestion would be to have the ability (or ask rabbit) to create another type of classification, rather than by dates. Maybe categories? Recipes, creative writing, travel… I know it can already regroup entries (more or less, and only recent ones) into a single note thread, but that to me has a different use.

What do you think?

100% feel the same. We are talking about the mobile UI right. Desktop solves this by keeping the timeline and content seperate.

It’s better to use the rabbithole in desktop mode on mobile at the moment.

I think I read here somewhere that this problem is being worked on. It would be great if the usability of not just r1 but also of the Rabbit Hole was given a much higher priority in development. I think good usability is an important sign of quality, the best example of this is Apple. Does anyone here think that Apple could ever have been so successful if it hadn’t given such a high priority to good usability? The answer is NO, Apple could never have been so successful and that is precisely an important key to success. Every child, every old person, every disabled person, everyone should be able to easily use r1 and the Rabbit Hole without frustration. Alongside security and data protection, it should actually be the most important thing, I think.
