Hello Community, here I am reporting some bugs I encountered with the new update for my R1.
First: great that BetaRabbit is now out of the Beta stage, but the Rabbit R1 became so redundant while searching for things. I don’t want it to spent it’s time repeating: “Searching for…” this and this and that several times, like it’s a shell command line interface. It’s not a natural interaction for an AI companion. Please remove it and make it more natural!!!
Second: the most of the times, it fails. After spending time looking for things it ends by saying: “Sorry, I am unable to complete the task. Please try again.” This happens even with simple questions that don’t need such queries to search through. And most importantly: the most of the questions can be answered by BetaRabbit if I evocate it, so I truly don’t understand it’s behaviour.
Third: It doesn’t ask for clarifications followup questions like BetaRabbit did in a redundant way, they are quitely the opposite; result? It doesn’t understand my question and responds randomly.
Please keep an eye on this because using the R1 became from beautiful to frustrating in just one day and one update. I wanna add the fact that it still doesn’t know it’s own battery level, navigating to settings when I ask it how much battery is remaining; frustrating for me because I have to take my phone and, being blind, using external apps to have a description of R1’s screen. It doesn’t know it’s own volume level, so I have to note each time the last volume setting in order to remember it the next time I pull out the R1, it doesn’t know what song is playing or the status of it’s last action… very simple things that current assistants already do! Even my Ray-ban Metas, less capable than my R1 in terms of conversation context, know their battery status, volume level and so on…
While the new update has introduced some exciting features, it has also inadvertently made daily interactions with the R1 more cumbersome and less enjoyable. By addressing the feedback from the community and focusing on streamlining the user experience, Rabbit can bring the R1 back to the level of intuitive interaction that users expect.
This update certainly has the potential to improve, but for now, it’s clear the community is eager for fixes. Hopefully, Rabbit’s development team will act quickly to address these concerns and restore the R1’s reliability.
PS:
I’m not sure you are aware but you can adjust volume on r1 with voice command, try this:
“Set Volume to 0 ( zero )”
“Put Volume at 50%”
“Increase Volume”
“Decrease Volume”
I am perfectly aware of this, in fact I do; but when I ask: “What is the actual volume level?” Or something like it, R1 responds with “There’s an issue retrieving volume information.” Or: “Setting volume with NA is not valid."
Maybe a work around at this point can be to ask the R1 is instead of checking the volume to say to the rabbit to set it at the desired volume in that case: if you want to mute it : set volume to 0 …
Just trying to help with this idea
Sure, but when time passes and I forgot the volume level I set the R1, I want it to say it when prompted.
Probably a good thing to do is a special Thread for suggestion for people that are having this condition. Perhaps a special developing should happen to accommodate this matters! <3
To be honest, now the rabbit team does not have so much manpower to design these, can only wait slowly.
My example of a redundant follow up question.
I said:
What is the smallest dutch city?
Rabbit replied:
Could you please provide more context or details about what you would like to know or do regarding a Dutch city? Are you looking for information about a specific city, planning a visit, or something else?
The second time I asked What is the smallest dutch city? it searched for it and replied in a satisfactory way!
What do you mean?
Volume level prompt
I’m with you on this, where is the reasoning or the AI? I could see this scenario a little bit better:
user: What is the smallest city in Holland?
r1: Staverden ( currently 30 inhabits ) Do you want to know more about it?
I’m gonna test this one right away:
It got it from the first time
It’s an error when fine-tuning the models; it seems like Rabbit has restricted the model instead of making it unpredictable, so the model executes just as a normal robot what it has been trained for.
It is definitely to make it more robust and stable but it should better recognize what kind of answer is needed and what kind of actions it needs to take to answer it
Yes, sometimes it’s great!
By the way: did you or anyone else find a way to make Midjourney work? I’ve signed in, I have subscribed to the paid account, but it shows errors while creating images. Uber doesn’t work for captchas, Midjourney doesn’t work for I don’t know what reason… at least Spotify works in a barely decent way…
can check this also : I have to let it out!
But why place this now and not yesterday?
No-one is able to respond to my Uber question?
I hope someone of you will tell me how to get those captcha solved and be able to request an uber ride without issues. Even Rabbit Support is not responding.
Sorry, I do not use services on the R1. I think people on the forum have similar problems.
Not your fault, but I think Rabbit Support should at least provide an answer since they are developing such integration. I contacted them 3 times but I get into trouble with this question.
