Maps and Soundcloud

Hello,
I have found the rabbit to lack a bit in my daily life. Currently the only app I use to listen to music is soundcloud, which has no integration (yet) with the device. Also when asking for directions to a restaurant that the rabbit suggested, it just tells me how to get there. I would love if a gps map could be integrated. Thanks team. Please make this gadget more suited to my daily demands.

Even if in some places it says that the device includes a gps module, I doubt this is correct. If it is, then the device is not using it, maybe to save resources.

I know this because my location changes depending on if I’m using my Wi-Fi or connected through my phone’s hotspot. The r1 is just locating my city according to my IP. No real location services, so no precise location either.

The GPS and Google Maps integration was proposed already and that would totally be something helpful for the r1. Guess some apps that work with the public transport such as 9292 or NS app ( here in the Netherlands ) could be super good to have as they can provide super accurate and real time updates for public transport. Im sure there are apps like this for each country or so.

For now it searches on the web answers regarding public transport but is not very accurate and sometimes takes 5 to 10 tries to get something close to reality.

Would had hit a vote but we have only 5 and i already put mine in some ideas.

I also use more Soundcloud than Spotify. so that would be an add on to the music capabilities.

Well, the new update brings exactly this to the r1 using beta rabbit. Let’s see how well it works.

Update: It still locates me using my IP, and it’s recognized as in like 7km from my place, so it clearly didn’t use the GPS (if it exists) and of course, it gave me locations and directions for a McDonald’s that’s not near, instead of the McDonald’s that is 2 blocks from my home.

Maybe it only works in the US, as most of these features involving location, restaurants, etc.

Did you use “Beta Rabbit” before your request?

The common assistant rely to your IP, Beta Rabbit is able to access the GPS module (built in your device) and get accurate location and directions.

Yes, I used beta rabbit. Asking directly without it doesn’t work.

I made some tests myself also and indeed is not really accurate. For example r1 is pretty close but still a 5min walk (350 m) from where i am actually.

First standard rabbit :

after it got my accent

but im not really where he think i am
