Hi, when I use beta rabbit for having the most important news of today, it automatically adds news of October 2023. I have alredy done a 5 X PTT and turned off the device but the problem persist.

That’s not nice, but as an interim solution, I would suggest trying it without “Beta Rabbit”. This works much better for me.

Same thing happened to me. For news, it seems that standard rabbit is better than beta rabbit. Also, sometimes it even gives me information from other countries like it’s not recognizing my location at all

Hi guys, without beta rabbit the response are very short and not specific at all. The issue was partially solved with a full restart anyways. I tought that maybe a feature could be connect a paid account of a Journal ( such as WSJ) and make the rabbit access the articles directly from ther, this will prevent a lot of hallucinations

I think that’s a good thing, but then ideally there should be as much choice as possible, because not every source is a neutral source.

If you use Alexa, you know that you have some “addons” you can use to connect to different services. There are a couple of good ones for news. Having something like that would be cool.

Sounds like it’s not searching the Internet for news but just going through its training data, like how chatgpt used to work. When I prompt for news I say what timeframe I want the news from. Today, this week, . etc. That always seems to work for me…I don’t always remember but usually I say SEARCH too. Like “search for and summarize today’s top 5 us news articles”

So what always works well for me is to say: “Please tell me the latest news from today”… Or something that has the same meaning.

Hi guys, tried some of your prompts but beta rabbit still relies on the news of October 2023 the majority of the time, pretty frustrating ngl.

It’s best not to use Beta Rabbit for this, just ask without Beta Rabbit.

When I ask for news without beta rabbit the response is too sluggish and superficial, I want to understand the topics in which I am interested. They just need to make this device more reliable and stable overall

I ask r1 for latest news, but ask it to give me today’s latest UK news and you get it. But if I ask it for the latest UK news it would sometime give me old news. I think a lot comes down how you request it etc. Like most AI devices.

But seriously, yes I think you’re right, that’s just how it is with these Ki’s, I think they will always have a mind of their own. So symbolically…

hahah. I tried asking for the news of the day. I was blown away the first day I tried it and figured I had a new daily task to do with the rabbit.
Of course I didnt remember my exact command the second day and on that day I got much MORE news including some things that ‘felt’ off.
I ended up googling stories to see what was what. 
End result… serendipity and me up to date on what matters to me.
I will keep trying this as it clearly got me thinking!

I live in the Netherlands. When I use the voice prompt “What’s the latest news?”, I get news that is relevant for the USA, and most of the stories are not really relevant for me. Sometimes, I also get stories that are quite old.
I tried the following prompt: “Beta rabbit, what is the latest news for the Netherlands?” The outcome was amazing! It even included hot news from hours ago. In other words, the r1 is able to retrieve current news, but not every prompt is getting good results. As r1 user, I’m expecting more integration between the features. The r1 knows my location and preferances / personalization, and the future state I would like to see is a response that is relevant to where I am on the globe (and maybe even to my interests).
I acknowledge that the developers are making lots of progress in many areas, and I look forward to more to come. Please accept my comment as constructive feedback.
