You’re right. Something changed between August 29th and August 31st. I can modify a note in the rabbithole created up August 29th, but I can’t modify notes created on August 31st or later. (I didn’t create notes on the 30th.)
I didn’t see any announcement come by indicating a downgrade of this rabbithole functionality! Not sure what happened!
@simon : Any idea? Is this a bug or is there something else going on?
I never knew there was an ability to edit notes before . That would be very useful indeed. Trying to edit notes using voice commands is less than ideal.
So I looked into this, and although it seems like a bug/regression, it’s actually intended behaviour (for now) I am afraid - since it’s basically a result of one of the changes to beta rabbit in order to enable Markdown support in the Notes.
This is to say, rather than viewing this as a bug that needs to be fixed, it’s more of a feature request at this point, as in, the feature would be - enable editing of notes that are built with the new system which supports Markdown.
So we’d like to get back to this being a possibility, especially since it seems popular, but it will need to be handled as a request from product/engineering as a new feature basically.
thanks for looking into this @simon 〜 i hope it eventually gets back at some point, in the meantime let me know if there’s anything more specific in feedback we can share with the team for whenever this request is picked up
