I'm really looking forward to my r1 arriving soonish and more so for the potential ways for me to wear it.
The quarterly update/TWA event had a sneak peek at some of the concepts the team was working on and as of today or yesterday, we got a look at an official bumper!
I am very interested in practical use-case-based design (especially the second chest strap). I would love to hear what others think about the concepts and potential future accessories/apparel.
Consider this topic a brainstorming area to bounce ideas off one another!
Pretty crazy idea - but from what I’ve learnt from my design degree - better to start big and make it reasonable than to start small and try to make it cooler.
I’ve seen quite a few bumper cases in the wild but what I love about mine is the kickstand!
my wife uses these weird 2 piece usb cables that look like knockoff MagSafe connectors. I “borrowed” one from her and like how much easier it is to set it up to charge now.
Would love an official, “ask me about my rabbit” tshirt
3d printing a belt clip is hard… would be great to find a case with a belt clip that is injection molded so that it has strength on both vertical and horizontal directions.
I am currently using the “bumper” case… I also attempted a new cassette storage as I like to take it with me everywhere and wanted a custom one I could use it in.
has anyone tried making a magsafe like connection to their rabbit ?
i have a few magnetic rings included in “magsafe” accesories to allow non-apple phones to use the hardware and was going to stick one to the back of my Rabbit r1
but know only too well strong magnets can mess up the hardware
has anyone tried putting a magsafe ring or sheet of magnetic material on the back of thier rabbit? and did it mess up any of the rabbits funtionality
I was watching the Quarterly Update and got really inspired by it. I tried posting on the discord some ideas. This form really helps me in my day to day, as it’s tethered to me so I can get answers more easily than having to reach in my pocket.
The next step is to have it anchor to two places so that it is fixed, and then pull it out on a retractable steel spring. Go-go gadget/rabbit:
So i just thought of a solution that might work for everyone what if we had a way to carry out r1 on our trousers working as a belt as well like with this method this would make it so much easier to carry r1 on the go while dont thinking of a belt
